Description
The Salt CaveTargu Ocna is the third largest salt mine in Romania. It has the largest saline treatment base in the country, located in the Trotuş mine at 240 m depth, offers conditions for: relaxation, movement, treatment of respiratory diseases, retreat in the place of the Orthodox Church of St. Varvara and knowledge in the salt museum. The second area of activity is the extraction, preparation and marketing of salt. The earliest written testimony dates back to 1380 and is made up of a princely charter, resulting in the payment of a 2000 round salt for the construction of a stone bridge.
